photographs taken by Agur Kruusing, Epp Kubu, Maarja Nurk and Line Wasner
Nurk and Wasner have developed an adventure story
from a dendrology manual, coptic tapestries and landscape
painting. A rhythmically chopped story where nothing
particularly remarkable happens. The biggest events
occuring are a few leaves moving in the wind and a few
bushes riding by on bicycles or simply standing very still.
Wasner (DE) and Nurk (EST)
have been collaborating since 2023. They have directed their
love for repetitions and systematization toward bushes
in the background. During the collaboration, they have been
primarily interested in shifting the logic and focus of
landscape painting. This involves understanding one`s own
perspective and position, as well as their origins, in relation
to the landscape.
